Accessibility statement
We want anyone considering a flooring project to be able to use this site, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
What we aim for
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is the target rather than a certification, and we treat any gap between the target and the site as something to fix.
What is in place
- A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page
- Semantic headings in order, with one H1 per page
- Landmark regions — header, navigation, main, and footer — for assistive technology
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Labels tied to every form field, with required fields announced to screen readers
- Form errors delivered in a live region rather than by colour alone
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative icons hidden from assistive technology
- Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel viewport
- Colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast for body text and interface elements
Known limitations
This site is maintained by a small business rather than a dedicated accessibility team, and we have not commissioned a formal third-party audit. Some pages carry long descriptive passages that may be tiring to navigate by screen reader; the on-page navigation and headings are there to make skipping between sections easier.
